Shop Local Day Coming to Terre du Lac

(Terre du Lac) A small town in St. Francois County wants you to visit their local businesses on Saturday, July 1st.

The event is called Shop Local in Terre du Lac. Melissa Patt is the owner of Patt’s Produce.

Patt and the owners of Treasure Emporium the UpCycle Boutique have organized this special shopping event. Melissa says you would be surprised at the variety of business in Terre du Lac.

Patt says studies have proven that shopping local keeps more money in your hometown than if you spend your money at stores owned by big corporations.

Besides the great shopping, Shop Local in Terre du Lac will have local author Crystal Joy Meyer on hand doing a book signing.

Two food trucks will also be there.

The event runs from 8 until 11 on Saturday morning, July 1st.

Terre du Lac is located in northwestern St. Francois County between Bonne Terre and Leadwood.
