Sightseers are Hindering Tornado Cleanup Efforts

(St. Francois County) Work crews are being hampered to restore service in areas impacted by Sunday night’s tornadoes.

John Gross and Clay Coplin from the St. Francois County Road Department says sightseers are a real problem.

St. Francois County Associate Commissioner Kary Buckley and Sheriff Dan Bullock complimented deputies for their immediate response after the tornado struck.

Preliminary estimates indicate four homes were destroyed, four homes had major damage and 10 homes suffered some damage from the tornado that hit southern St. Francois County on Sunday night.
