Simple Solution Introduced to St. Francois County Commission to Reduce Costly Road Sign Theft

(Farmington) The theft of road signs in St. Francois County is a safety issue and a costly one.

County Road Supervisor Clay Coplin says his department has spent 5-thousand dollars to replace stolen signs this year.

He has offered to the county commission a simple solution to this reoccurring problem.

Road signs are used by emergency responders and if stolen, they could potentially cause an accident by not properly marking a dangerous area on roadways.
