Six People Injured in a Two-Car Crash on HWY 141

Six people were injured in a two-car crash on northbound Highway 141 south of Astra Way on Saturday morning. According to the Highway Patrol, 40-year-old Travis Perkins of Crystal City was driving a 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer south in the northbound lanes of 141 and truck a 2012 Toyota Avalon head-on. The driver of the Avalon was 36-year-old Dawn Lachance of St. Louis. Lachance along with two passengers in her vehicle, 44-year-old David Rutledge of Arnold, and 68-year-old Paul Wells of Arnold all suffered serious injuries and were taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital South. Perkins, along with a passenger in his vehicle, 29-year-old Samantha Thurmond of Hillsboro suffered serious injuries and another passenger 32-year-old Andrew Etzorn of Barnhart suffered moderate injuries and were all taken to area hospitals for treatment. The accident took place at 7:30 on Saturday morning.
