Sligofest Unofficially Kicks Off Festival Season On Saturday

(Sligo) The first local festival of 2023 takes place this weekend.

After being away for a couple years, Sligofest is coming back this Saturday to the small community of Sligo which is located in the northeast corner of Dent County.

E.J. Shulke and his wife are resurrecting this old-fashioned festival.

Wear your green Saturday to Sligofest or you may get pinched.

Saturday’s Sligofest is free to attend.

Money raised from the traditional St. Patrick’s Day meal will go back into the community center and church which is located off ‘T-T’ Highway in Sligo.
