Sophomore Khloe Dischbein Shines For Lady Rebels, Earns Spot On Winter Dream Team

(Park Hills) After breaking out for the Central Lady Rebels, sophomore Khloe Dischbein was named to the Regional Radio Girls Basketball Dream Team. Dishchbein tells us how it feels to be recognized as the youngest member of this year’s Dream Team.

The sophomore paced the Lady Rebels in scoring at 16 points per game while shooting 37-percent from three.

Dischbein says back-to-back losses in the MAAA conference tournament lit a fire in her team.

Central responded by winning their next six games by an average of 26 points. The Lady Rebels won the Class 4 District 2 championship and made it all the way to the state quarterfinals where they fell to St. James.

Dischbein says the goal was to make it to Springfield but that trip could come next year.

The minus two, seniors Madison Holmes and Olivia Dunn, taught the sophomore a few things.

Dischbein is already working on improving her game for next season.

Central finished the year with a record of 21-6.
