South Iron Boys Basketball Hosts Chadwick in Class 1 Sectionals

(Annapolis) The South Iron boys basketball program has been ranked #1 in Class 1 all season long. Now, they’ll continually have a target on their backs as they try to march their way to Springfield and capture a spot in the Class 1 semifinals. The Panthers had no problem winning their district, but the competition gets much tougher in the Sectional round as they’ll meet #5 Chadwick tonight on the MyMoInfo SportStream. Chadwick won their district championship game 104-35 and are looking to get back to the semifinals for the first time since 2009. Cardinals head coach Shawn Guerin says it’s going to be more than a challenge to knock off the Panthers.

These two teams have met once in school history back in 2011 with Chadwick winning 44-41 in the Class 1 Sectional. South Iron head coach Dusty Dinkins thinks the Cardinals can present some serious problems for them.
