South Iron Boys Basketball Races Past Delta in Class 1 Quarterfinals

(Delta) The #1 boys basketball team in Class 1 looked the part tonight as they downed Delta in the Class 1 Quarterfinals 105-67 on the MyMoInfo SportStream. The Panthers won the tip and immediately put their foot on the pedal as they raced out to a 16-3 lead in the first two minutes and forty five seconds of game action.

South Iron wouldn’t let up and turned into a dunk contest.

Our Applebee’s of Farmington Player of The Game was Luke Lunyou who finished with 23 points. Dinkins, Wakefield and Prater also joined Lunyou in scoring at least 20 in the ball game. Panthers head coach Dusty Dinkins says this win is a special one.

The Delta Bobcats see their season come to an end at (17-11). The South Iron Panthers improve to (23-4) and will play the Higbee Tigers (19-5) next Friday in the Class 1 Semifinals at JQH Arena in Springfield. You can listen to that game starting at 9:45 in the morning on Regional Radio.
