South Iron Boys Ready To Live Up To High Expectations In ’19-20
(ANNAPOLIS, Mo.) – It’s shaping up to be another strong season from the South Iron Panthers‘ boys basketball team. After losing just two seniors and returning four of five starters, the Panthers will look to build off of last season’s 23-5 campaign, which ended in the Class 1 sectional round. There are high expectations for the team, and Panthers coach Dusty Dinkins said he’s preparing his group for some challenges on their schedule.
Two key returners for the Panthers are junior Brock Wakefield and sophomore Drenin Dinkins, who both made the Regional Radio Dream Team last season. Coach Dinkins said both players will have to take on leadership roles this year.
The Panthers will open up the season as the top seed in the Arcadia Valley Thanksgiving Tournament, which can be heard on Regional Radio. South Iron will face Bismarck in the first round on Monday.
