South Iron Girls Basketball Stars Earn Top Academic Spots in Class of 2020

(Annapolis, Mo.) South Iron High School is well known for having great basketball teams, but apparently that success translates to the classroom as well. The top two in the class of 2020 from South Iron High School were the lone seniors on a girls basketball team that made it to the state tournament in Springfield this season. Salutatorian Michaela Ayers has received countless accolades from her performance on the hardwood, but says this one is unique.

Ayers is attending MAC in the fall to continue her basketball career and study Radiology. The valedictorian in Annapolis this year was a threat in the post for the Lady Panthers. Miller will also attend MAC in the fall as she was accepted to the RN program in Park Hills.
