(ANNAPOLIS, Mo.) – As the South Iron Panthers prepare for the upcoming girls basketball season, the team is ready to capitalize on the wealth of experience returning to the program. The team lost just one starter, Ashley Mickan, from last year’s team and will feature seven different players that already have varsity experience. Head coach Lawrence Graves said he’s excited to see what this team can do on the court.
The Panthers are aiming for their third consecutive district title this year. Graves said like past seasons, he hopes great defense is the identity of this group.
The South Iron girls basketball team opens up regular season play in the Valley of Caledonia tournament on Monday, Nov. 26.
