(ANNAPOLIS) Along with scoring another victory for the South Iron girls basketball team last Thursday night, junior guard Michaela Ayers also surpassed 1,000 points for her career during the Panthers’ 56-31 win over Farmington.
Head coach Lawrence Graves says Ayers reaching the milestone so quickly is as much a tribute to Ayers’ teammates as to her own abilities:
Ayers has helped the Panthers to a 20-4 regular season and the top seed in the Class 1 District 2 tournament. South Iron opens up district play by facing Viburnum Saturday night.
