(ANNAPOLIS, Mo.) – After she finishes her upcoming senior season with the South Iron Panthers, Michaela Ayers will officially continue her basketball career at Mineral Area College. Ayers signed her letter of intent to play for the Cardinals on Wednesday. Ayers’ father, Jeff, played baseball at MAC and her high school head coach, Lawrence Graves, played for the MAC basketball team, and she said she’s gotten very familiar with the program already.

Ayers has earned many accolades in her three years at South Iron as a Conference Player of the Year, All-State and Regional Radio Dream Team selection. She said she made significant improvements during her most recent junior season.

Before she leaves the South Iron program, Ayers said she still has some high goals to achieve.

South Iron girls basketball will kick off the 2019-2020 season at the Valley of Caledonia tournament starting Saturday, Nov. 30.
