South Iron’s DJ Prater Makes First Dream Team

(Annapolis) South Iron Senior DJ Prater captured his second state championship this season with the Panthers, but received his first selection to the Regional Radio Dream Team after averaging 17 points and nearly 10 rebounds. For Prater, he knew his game needed to reach a different level for the Panthers to go back-to-back and he delivered. He says that it all goes back to the early mornings in the gym.

Prater says the second state championship is a little more special.

Winning with his best friends was just the cherry on top.

Not only did Prater succeed on the court, but he prioritized success in the classroom as well.

Alongside being part of our Dream Team, Prater was also named All-State in Class 1. He says that he plans on playing basketball at the Juco level, but has not made a decision on where.
