Southern Reynolds R-2 board president talks superintendent’s death

A huge hole has been left in the Southern Reynolds County R-2 school district with the passing of superintendent Dr. Mike Redlich. Board of education president Phil Roberts says the community is still grieving a respected servant.

Roberts also says that the school district experienced incalculable growth under Dr. Redlich’s 12 years of leadership.

A special meeting of the board of education will be held Thursday night, June 12th to determine an interim superintendent. The funeral service for Dr. Mike Redlich is Saturday morning at 11 with visitation the night before from 4 until 7 at McSpadden Funeral Home in Ellington.
