St. Francois County 911 Director On Low Water Bridge Dangers

(Bollinger County) Two young boys have drowned after the vehicle they were in was swept off of a low water bridge in Bollinger County. Alan Wells is the director of 911 for both St. Francois and Ste. Genevieve Counties.

In another case over the weekend, a St. Louis man nearly drowned when trying to cross a low water bridge in Jefferson County. He was apparently in the water for over an hour before being rescued by emergency personnel.
