St. Francois County COVID-19 Update

(Park Hills) There are still 44 confirmed cases of COVID-19 being reported in St. Francois County. There has been talk the heat of summer might help eliminate or contain the spread. Tiffany Roth is the communicable disease director at the St. Francois County Health Center in Park Hills. We asked her if they’ve seen any proof of that.

The governor is expected make his next major announcement concerning the virus on June 15th. We asked Roth what health professionals are hoping to hear.

In addition to the confirmed cases, around two thousand people have been tested for the disease. Over 14-thousand in the state have tested positive and there have been 800 deaths in Missouri.
