St. Francois County D.A.R.E. Educating Youth About Substances

If you are unfamiliar with D.A.R.E., it’s an organization dedicated to educating our youth. Deputy Sherriff of D.A.R.E in St. Francois County, Gary Carver tells us what the organization is trying to teach students.

Carver says the first day of D.A.R.E. officer school changed his life, and now he wants to change the lives of the children he meets.

D.A.R.E. stands for Drug Abuse Resistance Education and is taught by Carver in the St. Francois County schools of Bismarck, Central, North County and West County. It’s a 17-week course. To learn more about D.A.R.E., visit sfcgov.org.
