(Park Hills) While area health departments have been focusing on COVID-19 the last six months, they still have other areas requiring their attention. Rose Mier is an environmental public health specialist with the St. Francois County Health Center in Park Hills. We asked her about the connection between food preparation and COVID.

Now that doesn’t mean you can’t get sick from food, whether you eat at a restaurant or at home.

Mier says the health center is responsible for conducting routine health inspections at close to 350 food establishments in St. Francois County.
