St. Francois County Health Director On Smoking Issues

(St. Francois County) Officials with the St. Francois County Health Center in Park Hills say they aren’t surprised at all with a recent report that gives the state of Missouri a grade of F when it comes to anti-smoking efforts. Amber Elliot is the director of the health center. She says over 20 percent of the population of the county is still smoking, which leads to many problems.

Missouri got the grade of F in a report from the American Lung Association. Missouri has the lowest cigarette tax in the nation at 17 cents per pack. .
