(Farmington) A St. Francois County jury has found Oscar Ortiz Junior guilty of manslaughter and armed criminal action.
The guilty verdicts stem from a 2019 shooting that resulted in the death of Adam Carroll.
A news release from the St. Francois County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office says the guilty verdict was returned on the charges of Involuntary Manslaughter in the First Degree, Armed Criminal Action, Tampering with Physical Evidence and Unlawful Use of a Weapon.
Sentencing will be on December 17th.
Ortiz is looking at the possibility of life in prison.
