(St. Francois County) After years of work, Governor Parson made it official this month, declaring August 31st at Random Acts of Kindness Day in Missouri. The idea for this holiday came from Lela Thompson, who lost her daughter to suicide on August 31st of 2016. Cat Leonard is on the St. Francois County Mental Health Board. She says they are putting together an effort in St. Francois County to promote this idea.
If your business is interested in being a part of Random Act of Kindness Day, you can contact Leonard at 431-5507 or Candy Hente at 756-3615. More information is also available on the St. Francois County Mental Health Board’s Facebook page.
