St. Francois County Reports First COVID-19 Death

(St. Francois County) St. Francois County is reporting it’s first death of a county resident due to COVID-19.
The health department reports the resident was a male in his 70’s and had underlying health conditions.
He had tested positive for COVID-19 on March 31st. County Health Director Amber Elliot says this serves as a good reminder that it’s everyone’s responsibility to do what they can to prevent this disease.
The case was not travel related.
No names have been released.
