(Park Hills, Mo.) There will be plenty of action at the Bob Sechrest Fieldhouse on the campus of Mineral Area College today. The annual St. Francois County Rotary Shootout returns to Park Hills with 5 total games, four of them featuring area teams on the MyMoInfo SportsStream.

The local teams get started when the 1-3 West County Bulldogs take on the 0-5 Potosi Trojans. Bulldogs head coach Chris Labruyere says he expects Potosi to be tough and physical as always.

With Potosi in search of their first win, Trojans head coach Jackson Conaway says effort from start to finish will give his team the best chance to come out victorious.

Next up is the Fox Warriors and the Saxony Lutheran Crusaders. Fox is off to a 1-5 start and has struggled with injury. Warriors head coach Mike Wilken says that makes it more imperative than ever to play well on defense.

Saxony Lutheran defeated to Farmington last night 53-46 to improve to 2-3. Crusaders head coach Justin Callahan says a last minute invitation landed his team in the Rotary Shootout, which he grew up watching.

The lone girls game of the day sees the Central Rebels collide with the Ellington Whippets. The Rebels come into the game with an undefeated record of 5-0, but head coach Josh Mapes says Ellington will provide their toughest test yet.

The Whippets enter the game with an equally impressive record of 4-1. Ellington head coach Paula King says offensive execution will be a necessity to come out with a win.

The day of high school hoops wraps up with the South Iron Panthers taking on the Oak Ridge Bluejays. The Panthers are off to a 4-0 start and are ranked third in the state in the first Class 1 poll of the season. Head coach Dusty Dinkins likes the stage that the Bob and the opponent will provide.

Oak Ridge is just 2-2 to tip off the season but is ranked 10th in the state in Class 1. Despite back-to-back losses, Bluejays head coach Chris Trimmer says he’s not just looking to test this team early in the season-he’s trying to get them ready for the postseason.

Coverage of all the action from the St. Francois County Rotary Shootout begins at 11:45 this morning with the Flieg’s Equipment Pregame Show on the MyMoInfo SportsStream.
