St. Louis Battlehawks Ready to Come Home to the Dome
(St. Louis, Mo.) The St. Louis Battlehawks dropped a tough one this weekend to the Houston Roughnecks 28-24 and fell to 1-1 on the season. The Battlehawks put up 390 total yards of offense against the roughnecks, but dug themselves a 21-6 hole at the half that was too much climb out of in the second half. Team reporter Zain Pyarli says the slow first half is what ultimately did the Battlehawks in.
Jordan Ta’amu passed for 284 yards and had a completion percentage of 81% with 3 touchdown passes. The Battlehawks enter week 3 with the best offense in terms of numbers.
For the Battlehawks next contest they get to host the 1-1 New York Guardians who were just defeated 27-0 by the DC Defenders. Pyarli says the Battlehawks are excited for their first home game.
The city of St. Louis hasn’t seen professional football since the Rams left after the 2015 season and Pyarli says the buzz around the city is palpable. He also explains what fans can expect on game day.
The Battlehawks will host the New York Guardians at 2 on Sunday inside of a sold out Dome.
