St. Louis Man Arrested and Charged in Pevely Shooting

(Pevely) A St. Louis man is behind bars after he allegedly shot a 39-year-old Pevely man during an altercation that occurred at the victims home off Hazelwood Court in Pevely.

The shooting happened just after 12:30 in the morning on May 8th.

Pevely Police Chief Mark Glenn says upon officers arrival they located a male with a handgun and immediately took them into custody.

The victim was taken to a local hospital where he was treated for non life threatening injuries.

The suspect, 40-year-old Thomas Wingenbach of St. Louis has been charged with 1st Degree Assault and Armed Criminal Action.

He is currently being held at the Jefferson County Jail without bond.
