St. Louis man killed in three vehicle crash in Jefferson County

(Jefferson County) A St. Louis man died in a three vehicle accident in Jefferson County on Friday evening.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 2018 Chevy Cruze driven by 41-year-old Timothy Hearst of Pevely, a 2014 Vance Cali Classic 50 driven by 54-year-old Dante Rice of St. Louis and a 2019 Peterbilt driven by 54-year-old Christopher Nail of House Springs was driving southbound on I-55 when the front of Hearst’s vehicle struck the rear of Trice’s.

As a result Trice was ejected from the vehicle before Nail’s vehicle hit Trice.

Trice was pronounced deceased on the scene by EMS personnel.

The accident happened on I-55 southbound at the 181 mile marker around 7:35 Friday evening.
