St. Paul girls and Crystal City boys victorious in doubleheader on MyMoInfo SportsStream

(Farmington, Mo.) The St. Paul Giants faced off against the Crystal City Hornets in girls and boys basketball tonight on the the MyMoInfo SportsStream. The Lady Giants won by a final score of 59-49. St. Paul started out strong in the first quarter going on a 5-0 run to take the lead 15-7. It was tied 7-7 before St. Paul went on an 8-0 run to end the first capped off by this bucket.

Brylee Durbin was our Applebee’s Player of the Game with 29 points. Giants head coach Andy Sherrill says he was proud of Durbin’s play tonight.

St. Paul improves to 11-9. While Crystal City falls to 3-13.

On the boys side it was all Hornets as they led 43-30 at the half and turned up the heat coming out of half. Carson Short was one of four different Hornets to hit double digits and finished the night with 13 points and had this three in the third.

Drew Richardson was our Applebee’s Player of the Game as he finished with 18 points as the Hornets rolled to victory by a final score of 77-42. Crystal City head coach Lee Richardson had high praise for the Giants and the way his team played tonight.

Crystal City improves to 6-9 while St. Paul falls to 4-18. Both squads will get ready to face Grandview in their next match up.
