St. Pius’ Eimer wins Applebee’s of Farmington Athlete of the Week

(Festus) St. Pius Lancers cross country runner Rita Eimer is the Applebee’s of Farmington Athlete of the Week.
The senior finished her career by winning the Class 2 individual girls’ state championship Friday in Columbia.
Eimer finished 2 seconds ahead of freshman Julia Pattison and completed the course in 19 minutes and 37 seconds.
Lancers head coach John Daly says Eimer is an example of how far an athlete can come with the right work ethic.
Eimer helped St. Pius finished third in the Class 2 team standings.
As Athlete of the Week, Eimer receives a T-shirt, a certificate and a coupon for a free entree at Applebee’s in Farmington.
