St. Pius Lancers On Football Roundtable
(Farmington) The St. Pius Lancers joined the Regional Radio Sports Team from the Applebees in Farmington for the Coles Tractor and Equipment Football Roundtable last night. The Lancers are 6-2 and are coming off a dominant win over Bayless on Friday 41-6. Head Coach Dan Oliver says the run game was key to the Lancer’s victory.
The St. Pius defense has been the backbone for the Lancers all year. Pius is allowing 9 points per game to opponents and only two teams have scored more than 20 points on the Lancers. Senior Defensive lineman Alex Moissis says this defense is full of special players.
Assistant Coach and Defensive Coordinator Tilden Watson puts a lot of faith in his defensive leaders, even letting them run the defense.
The Lancers finish the regular season Friday against the 3-5 Perryville Pirates.
