St. Pius’ Lane continues volleyball excellence, gets back on Dream Team

(Festus) St. Pius Lancers junior Kennedy Lane has become one of the best volleyball players in the state.

She cemented her status with a return place on the Regional Radio Dream Team.

Lane earned all-state in her sophomore season and helped the Lancers make it to the Class 3 state championship game.

But she says she was motivated to do even more this year.

Lane piled up over 400 kills and also lead St. Pius in serving aces.

But she says she had success thanks to her teammates and the senior class, who made going to work on the court fun.

But despite all the personal success, Lane is motivated by getting even better and helping St. Pius earn redemption for a district championship loss.

Lane earned a second straight all-state selection and was named the JCAA Small-School Division player of the year.
