St. Pius’ Lane named Applebee’s of Farmington Athlete of the Week

(Festus) St. Pius Lancers junior volleyball player Kennedy Lane is the Applebee’s of Farmington Athlete of the Week.
Lane is one of the most dominant outside hitters in the state, and she flexed her muscle with 55 kills and 35 digs in 3 matches last week, including wins over Hillsboro and Windsor.
Lancers head coach Shannon Leftridge says having a cerebral player like Lane makes everyone around her better.
In guiding the Lancers to another conference championship and 18 wins this season, Lane is now up to 389 kills this season, the best total in the JCAA by over 150 kills.
As Athlete of the Week, Lane receives a T-shirt, a certificate, and a coupon good for one entree at Applebee’s in Farmington.
