St. Pius’ Seek named Applebee’s of Farmington Athlete of the Week

(Festus) St. Pius Lancers track & field senior Cole Seek is the Applebee’s of Farmington Athlete of the Week.

Seek continued a stellar start to his final season by setting meet records in the long jump and triple jump at the Northwest Invitational on Saturday.

Seek also finished fifth in the 100-meter dash to go with his 2 victories.

St. Pius head coach Therese Ruble says Seek’s preparation is paying off.

Seek has now broken his personal records for the long jump and triple jump, which he set when he won those events as well as the 200 and 400 meters at the Jefferson Invitational at the end of March.

As Athlete of the Week, he receives a T-shirt, a certificate and a coupon for a free entree at Applebee’s in Farmington.
