(CAPE GIRARDEAU) After going 4-2 in Round Robin play earlier today, the St. Pius volleyball Lancers will now be playing tomorrow morning for their 3rd Class 2 state championship in the last 4 years.

The Lancers swept St. Paul Lutheran Concordia, 25-15 and 25-12, and then beat Licking, 25-21 and 25-17. The Lancers will be going up against defending Class 2 state champion, the Hermann Bearcats, who the Lancers played in the final round-robin match and lost to 25-15 and 25-15.

Lancers coach Shannon Leftridge notes the history of Hermann and is just excited that her players get a chance to play them for the state title.

The first serve from the Class 2 state title match will be tomorrow morning at 10:30 at the Show Me Center in Cape Girardeau. The Flieg’s Equipment Pregame Show will begin at 10:15 on AM 1400 KJFF.
