St. Pius Volleyball to Play Challenging Class 2 Sectional and Quarterfinal on Saturday

(FESTUS) The St. Pius volleyball Lancers are back on top after winning the Class 2 District 4 tournament on Wednesday over Hancock.

The Lancers had a string of 8 consecutive district titles halted by a loss to Jefferson R-7 in the Class 2 District 3 semifinals last season.

Head Coach Shannon Leftridge says that her girls made it a point this season to fill that void of a district title.

 
Coach Leftridge knows that it will be challenging to win at Sectionals and Quarters with the caliber of opponents in their bracket.

 
The Class 2 Sectional and Quarterfinal tomorrow afternoon will be played at Woodland High School. Valle Catholic and Woodland will play first at 3 and then St. Pius and Twin Rivers will follow at 4:30. The winners of each will then face off at 6 in the Quarterfinals.
