St. Pius Volleyball Wins North County Tournament

(NORTH COUNTY) The 2019 St. Pius volleyball Lancers are once again led by Shannon Leftridge who has a squad that is dealing some damage so far this season.

It all began with a first-place finish in the Windsor Tournament behind great all-around play and the right fists of Caly Otec and Kennedy Lane.

 
St. Pius beat Festus 25-23 and 25-19 this weekend to win the North County Tournament. Coach Leftridge thought that the girls battled well throughout the entire weekend and really came together to pull out the championship win over the Tigers.

 
In addition to the championship win over Festus, the Lancers picked up victories over Fredericktown, North County, Sullivan, and Pattonville to improve to 8-0-2 on the year. St. Pius is back on its home volleyball court Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. against Herculaneum.
