(HILLSBORO) The St. Vincent Lady Indians got a goal in the final two minutes to squeeze past Hillsboro 1-0 on Wednesday night in girls soccer on KJFF and KREI.

Shots on goal were rare all game long as both defenses swarmed the ball during attacks. It wasn’t until a mad scramble in the 18-yard box that a ball leaked out and onto the right foot of Megan Lipe.

St. Vincent head coach Caitlin Pistorio commented on the game-winner.

St. Vincent improves to 3-3 this season and will visit Maplewood-Richmond Heights on Friday. Hillsboro drops to 2-3 and will get back on the pitch on Saturday against McCluer North at Lou Fusz Soccer Park.
