St. Vincent Hosts Crystal City For The Class 1 District 2 Football Championship On J98

(Perryville) The Class 1 District 2 football championship will be played in Perryville Friday night and you can hear the game on J-98. St. Vincent (8-3) will host Crystal City (8-3) for the right to play in the state semifinals next week. Hornets coach Dan Fox says it’s been a pretty normal week.
Crystal City football does not play in a conference, however, they used to be in the I-55 conference where St. Vincent just won its second straight title this season. Coach Fox is in his sixth year coaching the Hornets and remembers some of the old matchups with St. Vincent.
Indians coach Tim Schumer is also familiar with Crystal City and how they play.
Coach Schumer is also the Athletic Director for St. Vincent High and Junior High School. He says he’s getting some help in getting the community to come out to the game.
Pregame is at 6:45 Friday night. Kickoff is at 7 o’clock on J-98.
