State Fire Marshal’s Office and Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Investigating Suspicious fire in High Ridge

(High Ridge) The cause of a 2-alarm fire that broke out a restaurant late Monday afternoon in High Ridge is said to be suspicious.

Fire crews got the call at 4:39pm to a commercial fire at Jilly’s restaurant on Gravois Road.

High Ridge fire Captain John Barton says the first units on scene reported fire coming from behind the building as well as smoke coming from the attic.

The restaurant was closed at the time of the fire. According to Captain Barton the building had taken a lot of structural damage to the roof.

No injuries were reported on scene.

The cause of the blaze is said to be suspicious and is currently under investigation by the Missouri State Fire Marshal’s Office and Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
