State Officials Concerned About Increase In Traffic Fatalities

(Jefferson City) Both the Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Missouri Department of Transportation are noticing a significant increase in traffic fatalities so far in 2020. Brian Okenfuss is an engineer with MODOT. He says it’s something that has them concerned.
So why the increase?
The highway patrol is reporting over 530 traffic fatalities in 2020, an increase of nearly 70 from last year at this time.
