State Rep Renee Reuter on state budget discussions

(Jefferson City) Renee Reuter of Imperial is in her first term as 112th District State Representative in the Missouri House. She spent 12 years on the Jefferson County Council prior to running for the state office. She says during her time in Hillsboro, she looked over the budget each year. She is serving on the State Budget Committee. She says the state budget is a completely different thing to handle.

Just recently, a pay increase for state employees was approved and signed by Governor Mike Parson. Reuter says she is hoping to get some earmarked funding for two large projects in Jefferson County.

Reuter also serves on the General Laws, Pensions, and the Subcommittee on Appropriations – General Administration. Reuter is currently serving in her first legislative session in Jefferson City and the session resumes today (Monday).
