State Wants Public Input On Teacher Shortage

(Jefferson City) The Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education wants the public’s feedback on ways to battle its teacher shortage.

The online survey is open through August 5th and is on the department’s website.

A statewide teacher recruitment and retention commission will review the survey’s results to help them find legislative solutions.

Teachers can also give their input at a public hearing Wednesday in Jefferson City.
