Ste. Genevieve And Farmington Close Out Conference Play On KREI

(Ste. Genevieve) The Farmington and Ste. Genevieve boys basketball teams will hit the hardwood Thursday night in their final game before the MAAA conference tournament begins on Saturday. The game was originally scheduled for Tuesday. You can listen to the game on AM-800 KREI.

Ste. Genevieve are 14-4 this season and second in the MAAA with a 3-1 conference record. The Dragons came back to beat Potosi last Friday, 73-71, to pickup their 6th win in seven games.

That’s Ste. Genevieve coach Rob Coleman. His team beat Farmington in the opening round of the Central Christmas tournament, 66-62.

The Knights are now 7-12 and 1-3 in conference play. Farmington has gotten a boost from sophomore Cannon Roth who, over his last seven games, is averaging 14 points per game and has scored over 20 points twice. Coach Garrett Callahan says a midseason adjustment has been beneficial.

Farmington and Ste. Genevieve have split their last six meetings dating back to the 2020 season.

Coverage of Thursday’s rescheduled game begins at 7:15 from the Peggy J. Johnson Gymnasium in Ste. Genevieve. Listen along on AM-800 KREI or MyMoInfo.com.
