Ste. Genevieve Business Producing PPE

(Ste. Genevieve) A Ste. Genevieve business has joined the fight against the coronavirus. Eric Scott started out as a leather goods company in the early 80s, but recently added the production of facemasks and shields to its production lineup. Executive Vice President Dana Jacobson says this grew out of a local need…

Jacobson says all the employees came together to help pivot production in only a week..

Jacobson says many of her employees worked hard to acquire a new skill set…

The Eric Scott company is producing about 1500 masks per day and 300 shields per day. Jacobson says that in the first 72 hours of production they had orders for over 7000 facemasks.

The company continues to produce its usual line of goods as well…

Prior to producing PPE Eric Scott was forced to furlough a few of its employees, but is now running full shifts with overtime and looking for additional workers.
