Ste. Genevieve County Collector’s Office to Continue Operating Despite Resignation

(Ste. Genevieve) The Ste. Genevieve County Commission received an unexpected resignation as this week began.

A news release from the commission says County Collector Kim Gielow tendered her resignation from office effective immediately on Monday.

No reason was given for Gielow’s departure.

On Thursday, the commission appointed Lisa Marschel as the interim county collector for Ste. Gen County.

Marschel will hold the position until a permanent appointment is made by Governor Parson.

The county commission wants residents to know, with it being tax payment time, the collector’s office will continue to operate during regular business hours, continuing to accept tax payments.
