Ste. Genevieve County Commissioner Talks Covid-19

(Ste. Genevieve) Ste. Genevieve County is on island right now if you look at Missouri’s map of confirmed Covid-19 cases.
Jefferson County to the north, Perry County to the south and St. Francois County to the west all have confirmed cases but Ste. Gen County has been lucky so far with zero confirmed cases.
Presiding Commissioner Garry Nelson credits that to good work by Sandy Bell, the county’s health department director.
Nelson says it is a little concerning that all their neighboring counties have confirmed cases.
And the presiding commissioner says Ste. Genevieve County has been in the same boat as several other rural counties with a limited number of test kits available when this pandemic began to hit Missouri.
The courthouse in downtown Ste. Genevieve is open for business.
However, Nelson says you will have to pass six criteria before being allowed to enter.
