Ste. Genevieve County Fair Begins Thursday

(Ste. Genevieve) Blue Jeans and Country Dreams is the theme of the Ste. Genevieve County Fair which kicks off Thursday afternoon on the fairgrounds in Ste. Genevieve. Janet Braun is the youth program associate at the University of Missouri Extension in the county. She says you can get yourself an awesome meal as the fair gets going Thursday afternoon between 4 until 6:30.

Braun says there are other fun events at this week’s Ste. Gen County Fair.

The beer garden will be open with a dance featuring three different bands Thursday night, Friday night and Saturday night at the Ste. Genevieve County Fair. Saturday features a keg toss, demolition derby and victory lane racing. On Sunday, there’s a tractor pull, cornhole and horseshoe tournaments and other fun. The fairgrounds are located off South White Sands Road near Pere Marquette Park and Yanks Field in historic Ste. Genevieve. J-98 will broadcast from the fair Friday afternoon from 4 until 6.
