Ste. Genevieve Falls in 5 in Class 3 Volleyball Semi on KREI

The Ste. Genevieve volleyball team has one more game remaining in their season. The Dragons will play for third place tonight at 6:00 at the Show Me Center in Cape Girardeau. Ste. Gen fell in five sets earlier today in the Class Three semis to Pleasant Hill. The Chicks took the first set 25-20, but Ste. Genvieve fought back to claim the second set 25-15…

Pleasant won set three 25-18 and then built a six point lead at 14-8 in set four. Ste. Genevieve rallied back with a 15-6 run to take a three point lead at 23-20 and then had set point at 24-23…

The Dragons raced to a 6-2 lead in the 5th. The Chicks came back to lead 12-11 and then took the 5th 15-13

Ste. Genevieve’s Dru Koetting delivered her 1000th career kill during the match.
Dragons coach Carla Basler says they can still win the final match up their season.

Second ranked Ste. Genevieve goes into the third place match at 32-5-2. They will play 24-14-2 Eldon, who was swept by Blair Oaks in their semifinal. We’ll broadcast the 3rd place match on J-98 the Boot and mymoinfo.com.
