Ste. Genevieve Man Injured in Crash Involving a Tractor

A Ste. Genevieve man was seriously injured in a crash involving a tractor Wednesday morning. Acording to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 1998 Westernstar Tractor driven by 27-year-old Chase Asmus of Benton was turning off of Highway 61 in Ste. Genevieve County near Market Street when it’s trailer was hit by a Mazda 3 driven by 29-year-old Ryan Mattison of Ste. Genevieve. Mattison was airlifted to St. Louis University Hospital for treatment, and his vehicle was totaled. Asmus was not injured, and drove his tractor away from the scene of the crash.
