Ste. Genevieve School Board Approves Contested Election Race for Board in April

(Ste. Genevieve) There will be a contested election race in April for the Ste. Genevieve Board of Education.

Filings ended earlier this week for candidates to put their name on the ballot.

At this week’s Ste. Genevieve School Board meeting, Superintendent Dr. Julie Flieg says the ballot was finalized and approved.

Also at the Ste. Gen school board meeting, members of the board were recognized for the upcoming School Board Recognition Week scheduled for February 9th through the 15th.

In other news from this week’s Ste. Genevieve School Board meeting, the proposed calendar for next school year was reviewed.

The tentative first day of class next school year in Ste. Gen will be Monday, August 24th.

That new calendar is expected to officially be approved during next month’s school board meeting.
